While we can trade for spot ads (1 month), our typical program suggests consistency through repetition to build brand awareness. Our normal packages include a series of ads and article(s) included too, (depending on the package structure).   The reader needs to see ads more than 1x to really be effective.  We also do exclusive networking events a handful of times throughout the year.
