The San Francisco Bay Times is the only LGBT newspaper in San Francisco that is fully funded and owned by LGBT individuals. In 1978 the Bay Times became the first LGBT newspaper in Northern California and possibly the world to be jointly and equally produced by gay men and lesbians working together.
