HeartBeet Organic Superfoods Café is a casual quick-serve superfoods restaurant that was started in 2008 by a local Seattleite named Monica Colgan. Monica started the restaurant after her mother was diagnosed with lung cancer in 2004, and she became inspired by seeing the healing that is possible when you eat mostly raw foods. So, Monica dreamed of creating a magical place -- a place with vegetables so good, even the mainstream public wanted to eat them -- and with a lot of hard work and the support of the community, it became so. HeartBeet Organic Superfoods Cafe was voted Seattle's "Best Healthy Lunch" and "Best Gluten-Free Menu", catering to a diverse clientele of both meat-eaters and vegetarians alike.
