Tomas and Brooke Perez first met in Bogota, Colombia in 2014. After graduating from The Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, New York with a Bachelor of Arts degree in culinary arts management and farm-to-table studies, Brooke moved to Bogota to work as a culinary consultant. She met Tomas through her work, and their relationship blossomed as they shared a passion for creating unique, modern versions of classic comfort foods. Together, they opened a bakery and café in Colombia before returning to the US.
