In August of 1966, our father J.O. Maldonado established Acorn Glass Tinting. In those days prior to modern day window film, tint was applied in liquid form using a flow-coating machine. Then in December of 1966 after being granted the first window film patent, 3M introduced SCOTCHTINT® to the world. Today, nearly 60 years later, window tinting is a family tradition and Maldonado Bros. is an Authorized 3M™ Prestige Window Film Dealer.

Curiously enough all through those early days, I always remember dad making trades for clothing, jewelry, toys, family vacations, and just about everything else! - E.M.
