Tasting notes: Expect to experience an avalanche of jammy blackberry and Rainier cherry and dark chocolate on the nose with a fine graphite core driving through the cedary floral finish. Supple, richly textured and yet elegant, Kindred features a lovely dance of Washington malbec as supported by cabernet sauvignon, syrah, and petit sirah, with a pinch of merlot, petit verdot and cabernet franc.

Food Pairing: Grilled ribeye, sweet onions, Anaheim peppers or shiitake blue cheese walnut ravioli.

Movie Pairing: Parenthood

FOUNDERS' NOTES:
Kindred was first produced in 2008, and is driven by malbec and framed with cabernet sauvignon and merlot. The new label, launched for the 2015 vintage, features an image of a 275 year-old oak tree in McMinnville, Tennessee, where Chris's Dad was born. It remains a lovely kindred wine to the first cabin Bordeaux wines.
