From the marvelously precocious 2018 vintage, Kingpin attacks with a classic nose of black currants, black cherry, black plum, earth, cigar box, and cedar. Silky tannins surround rich blue and black fruits, dark chocolate, roasted herbs, and minerals. Deep, rich, and approachable, this monster will only improve for a generation...or more.

FOUNDERS’ NOTES:
Launched in 2006, Kingpin celebrates the raw power and intensity of Red Mountains's iconic Klipsun Vineyard. Although we have no definitive conclusion on its ultimate life span due to the fact that we have only made it for 10 years or so and have none even beginning to peak, we suspect this is a wine that can be enjoyed for at least 30 years, if not many more.
